Reheating Instructions (Wings)
Method: Oven Instructions:
1. Preheat: Turn on your oven and set the temperature to 350°F (175°C).
2. Preparation: Spread the leftover wings in a single layer on a baking sheet.
3. Heating: Place the baking sheet with the wings in the preheated oven. | Cook time: This will vary depending on the quantity and starting temperature of the wings. | Cold wings: For 50 cold wings, cook for 20 minutes. Adjust the time down for smaller quantities; roughly 10 minutes for 10 cold wings. | Room temperature wings: If the wings are already at room temperature, reduce the cooking time by half. | Internal temperature: Regardless of cook time, always ensure the wings reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption. Use a food thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat to check.
4. Sauce and finishing: Once the wings are heated through, carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven. | Transfer the wings to a large, metal or heat-proof bowl. Ensure the bowl is big enough to comfortably toss the wings in sauce. | Pour your desired amount of wing sauce over the wings. | Using tongs or a spatula, toss or turn the wings until they are evenly coated in the sauce.
5. Serving: Plate the saucy wings and enjoy! Serve alongside celery sticks and your preferred dipping dressing.
Additional notes: Remember, leftover wings can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated following the same instructions.
Reheating Instructions (Queso)
Method: Stovetop Instructions:
1. Gather: Saucepan | Rubber spatula | Heat-proof bowl | Food thermometer (optional, but recommended)
2. Assemble: Transfer all the queso from the catering container to the saucepan using the rubber spatula.
3. Heating: Place the saucepan on the stovetop. | Set the heat to medium-low.
4. Stirring: Use the rubber spatula to stir the queso occasionally (every 3-5 minutes) to prevent burning.
5. Temperature: Continue heating until the queso reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Use a food thermometer to check the temperature in multiple places for accuracy. | Tip: If the queso seems too thick while heating, add a splash of milk or water and stir it in to avoid scorching.
6. Serving: Once heated through, transfer the queso to the heat-proof bowl for serving. Keep warm by setting the bowl on a warming tray or using a tea light candle holder with a small votive candle underneath.
Additional notes: If the queso comes in a microwave-safe container, you can also reheat it in the microwave on high power for 1-2 minutes at a time, stirring in between, until heated through and 165°F. | Be cautious not to overheat the queso, as it can break down and become oily. | Leftover queso can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated following the same instructions.
